How long before our wedding should we start our lessons?
You should begin your lessons at least 3 to 4 weeks before your wedding. If you have less time we will endeavour to arrange lessons to suit the shorter timescale.

When should we contact you to book our lessons?
Contact us around 2 weeks before you'd like to start your lessons. So if you want to do the full package contact us around 6 weeks out.

How much is each lesson?
See our dance lesson prices.

How long is each lesson?
Each lesson normally lasts 1.5 hours which can be either every week or every other week. We have found that this is the ideal length due to how much can be covered and recalled. However, in some cases 1 or 2 hour sessions are ok if this is appropriate.

How many lessons will we need?
It tends to take 5 hours to create the perfect routine, but you can have as many or few hours as you'd like.

How do we book?
Please contact us by email or phone to discuss availability for lesson/s. We will then liaise with the choreographer to arrange lesson date/s. Once this is done we will email you with confirmation of the date/s and request that you fill out our booking form.

How and when do we pay for our lessons?
Payment is due prior to your first lesson. You pay your teacher at the start of the lesson.

Where are the lessons held?
The lessons are held in the comfort of your own home. We travel to you!

How much space do we need?
If you can stand an arm's length apart and go around in a circle, you have enough room. More room is obviously beneficial though. In good weather you can even dance outside if you like!

What if we don't have enough room?
If you have friends or family nearby we can hold the lessons there. We are happy to hold the lessons anywhere suitable.

When are the lessons held?
Lessons are normally held in the evenings and at weekends, as this seems to be most convenient for our couples. Other times are possible if specifically arranged.

Is there a choreographer near me?
We are recruiting choreographers throughout the Ireland. So please do check with us.

We don't have enough room at home, what can we do?
First Dance Ireland will travel to your parents, friends or relatives. In
extreme cases you may have to book a hall/studio if you know of
nowhere suitable.

What do we have to wear?
Anything comfortable that doesn't restrict your movement. The bride will
need to wear shoes similar to her wedding shoes for at least one of the
latter lessons.

We aren't very confident, we both have two
left feet, can you help us?

Absolutely! Our choreographers are experienced
working with couples who have no dance experience at
all. They will happily guide you through every step until
you are completely comfortable, and have a routine that
suits you and your wants & capabilities.
